King Bee and the Stingers

King Bee & The Stingers features 6 veteran musicians delivering distinctive interpretations of blues, R&B, and funk tunes. Formed in 2006, the band’s lineup showcases the talents of Sarah Menefee (vocals), Jeff Shew (bass), Paul Karaffa (drums), Mark Carnes (harmonica), Wes Schrimsher (keyboards) and Matt Boat (guitar). The band has notched back-to-back semifinalist wins (2018, 2019) at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis and appears regularly at blues festivals around the midwest. In 2019, the band released their “Meet Me in Memphis” album with 8 original tunes and 2 blues classics, which quickly earned a leading spot on The Roots Music Report's Top 50 Contemporary Blues Album Chart.
