Miniatures (world premiere) is an absurd collection of small tales of passion. Through projections and multi-media, the thoughts of each character are revealed while dance relationships come alive through Shapiro & Smith Dance’s vigorous athleticism and skillful technique. What Dark/Falling Into Light (premiere: Dance Theater Workshop, 1996) is inspired by the Holocaust and the marginalization of people based on creed or ethnicity. The provocative work investigates our response to the atrocity, and delves into the emotions kindled by our exploration of "Why?" A final evening highlight is the debut of Proof, a trio about love and loss by company member Maggie Bergeron.
