About This Show

The Ordway Circle of Stars, the volunteer organization for the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts, hosts Dreaming of a White Christmas, their annual fundraising gala.

Guests arrive at a Rice Park winter wonderland dressed with thousands of twinkling lights and a seventy-five foot tall Christmas tree. Carolers from the Saint Paul Conservatory for Performing Artists greet attendees as they arrive and enter Ordway Center’s holiday adorned lobby. Featured in the gala is a live auction, with an Exclusive Five Star Dinner In Your Home as the auction’s highlight. Valued at $42,000, the five star package offers bidders the opportunity to have seventy-five guests dine and be entertained in their own home by local chef celebrities: David Fhima, Jeremy LaFond, and Vincent Francoual. Additionally, the dinner includes wait staff and bartenders from Hire A Host, table settings by Après Rental, touches of décor by Oeu’Vre Creative, entertainment by local musician Mick Sterling, and a clean-up service to ensure the host never has to lift a finger.

Before the live auction, guests can enjoy generous hors d’oeuvres, along with wine and cocktails. Furthermore, at 8:00 PM guests have the exclusive opportunity to see the final dress rehearsal for Irving Berlin’s White Christmas, one of the largest shows ever seen on the Ordway Center stage. Following the dress rehearsal, guests are invited to a cast and crew party, complete with holiday desserts and chocolate fountains, the perfect way to wrap up an evening full of food and fun.
