About This Show

World War II women took off their skirts, put on pants, and went to work. Blacks from the south joined them and together they turned Detroit into the Arsenal of Democracy. Women started “coming out” in every way and began to “cheat” on the old social rules imposed upon them. Julie Jensen’s Cheat is set in Detroit during World War II and tells the story of a young woman working in a factory in Dearborn struggling to break taboos and be true to inner callings of her heart and soul.
