Mad Forest

Following a trip to Romania, British playwright Caryl Churchill wrote this crazy-quilt drama focusing on two families (one upper class, the other lower) dealing with the social cataclysm brought about by the collapse of their totalitarian government. In her distinctive theatrical style (also the author of Top Girls and Cloud 9) Churchill tells a story of ordinary people coping with extraordinary crisis.
