Le Peignoir aux Alouettes (in French, with English and Spanish subtitles) is back in Miami for the French Weeks. This theatrical work is a modern vaudeville piece: funny, but also tender and cynical — the iPhone has replaced the slamming door. A man and four women, as different as the seasons of his life, yet the seasons, in his life, do not follow each other. They overlap, interpose, and oppose each other. He believes, on his coach, a true control tower, that he is master of his life and of their hearts. But modern tools such as cell phones and computers, far from the illusion of proximity they create, only echo his inner emptiness. These same tools give each of the four women the illusory fantasy that she knows this man — but not even the man knows who he really is.
