About This Show

Written by Eve Ensler, and directed by Dian Hamilton, this play is an open-minded creation of how various women view their vaginas. The show has outrageous humor and is complex and realistic without sensationalizing its subject matter. This is what Eve Ensler says: “I’ll tell you something funny about this piece, I don’t feel that it’s ever been mine, you know? I really feel that it’s been a very mystical experience in many ways. With other things I’ve done, I’ve had that–you know, This is my play and I’ve written it. I don’t have that feeling about The Vagina Monologues. I feel I got to serve something, that I listened to women’s stories and I turned them into something by listening and then loving those women. And then I put it back out there in the world and then women responded to it, and men responded to it.” All performances will be followed by lively discussion with cast and audience.

Appropriate for audiences 16 and up.
