Film queen Mary Dale battles the Red Menace to the Hollywood star system in this hilarious and smart campy ‘commie-dy’ about McCarthy-era politics. Mary Dale is a successful 1950’s Hollywood movie star. Her husband, actor Frank Taggert, can’t find his way into a B movie. Abandoning Hollywood glam for method acting, Frank joins a left wing acting studio only to find the Red Menace is using it as a ruse. When Mary discovers her beloved husband, friend, and best houseboy are blackmailed by the Party, she heroically hikes up her chiffon cocktail dress and has them blacklisted by America. It’s one woman’s war for love, truth, and billing over the title.
