About the Show
Djola Branner performs Mighty Real, directed by Lanrie Carlos, as part of the Out on the Edge Festival. A tribute to Sylvester! The out-and-incomparable ’70s disco diva storms back to life onstage with big-show pageantry, backstage drama, and Two Tons of Fun singing backup. Disco, jazz, cabaret, and gospel are all wrapped up in the body of one street-smart gay black man.
