About the Show

Celebrating its 25th year as the Home of New Plays in Boston, Boston Playwrights’ Theatre presents Leslie Epstein’s King of the Jews, adapted from his darkly comic novel of the same name. This breathtaking tragic-comic staging of recent history examines the plight of a Polish Judenrat and its leader, who together had to decide which of the Jews they governed were to live and which were to die. The production is directed by Jon Lipsky and features an ensemble cast of twelve.

The Opening Performance on Saturday, February 24 is scheduled for 7:00pm. This replaces the regularly scheduled time of 8:00pm.

Student Rush tickets are available one hour before the show.
