About This Show

Tim Miller performs Glory Box as part of the Out on the Edge Festival. Miller’s autobiographical tale bubbles over with sweetness, righteousness and a bit of political lobbying. The show, whose title is the Australian term for “Hope Chest,” represents Miller’s own heart and his private place for memories, hopes and dreams while focusing on gay people’s extraordinary potential for love and inability to be married. Throughout, Miller recounts his memories of youthful frolic and fears while highlighting the fear he faces every day: that his Australian husband Alistair will be deported by a U.S. government that is unsympathetically unwilling to recognize gay marriages.
