About This Show

In Woman with Pocketbook, Doris Platt arrives at the gates of heaven only to find out that her Purse is not allowed. Doris must let go of her past and get on with her future in Heaven. The contents in her bag are everything to her. Then again so is Dave, her late husband, who tries to convince her to leave her purse behind and join him for eternity, like they had planned. She is also visited by her over bearing mother, and God Himself. (Book and lyrics by Libby Saines and Annie Kessler; music by Jeff Blumenkrantz.)

In Jonathan Marc Sherman’s Women and Wallace, six-year-old Wallace is sent off to school by his mother — who then proceeds to slit her own throat. Wallace finds her body, a shock which continues to haunt his relationships with women.
