About This Show

Think it’s amazing that you’re driving a Prius in 2007? David Mamet imagined a better world in 1978. And he also wrote a play about it. This is that play. The Water Engine pokes at the dark, shattered underbelly of the American Dream. Charles Lang invents an engine that runs on water. But when he tries to get his invention patented, he is thrust into a stuggle to keep himself and the plans for his invention alive.
