The Game Against Bobby Fischer
$20
Producer John P. Greene announced the opening of the new Dennis Richard play, The Game Against Bobby Fischer directed by Gregory Fuller. Chess prodigy, grandmaster and eleventh World Chess Champion Bobby Fischer was known as brilliant, controversial and in many ways tragically flawed. To many, he was the greatest chess player of all time. The play opens on what could very well be the last night of his life, in a chess club in Reykjavik, Iceland. What Bobby does not know is that as the night unfolds – – he is about to play his last and most deadly game of chess – – a challenge from within – – a very new and different kind of Game of the Century: a riveting game against himself.
