The Common Air

Alex Lyras transforms into six distinct characters in The Common Air. The inventive structure involves multiple conversations that cross over from one character to another. Throughout the play, there are references to the war in Iraq and its myriad effects on American culture. The interminable airport delay–the common bond linking the characters–is rumored to be a result of a terrorist conspiracy.
