About This Show

The Subterranean Theatre Company presents Sturm und Durang, an evening of four one-acts by award-winning playwright Christopher Durang. First up is The Actor’s Nightmare, featuring the hapless George as he struggles to live through theater’s best-loved plays. Next up is Desire, Desire, Desire, a parody of the famed Tennessee Williams play. The third tale is A Stye of the Eye which spoofs Sam Shephard’s A Lie of the Mind. The final one-act is Medea, co-written with Wendy Wasserstein, which ribs the tragic Greek heroine who thinks she’s all that and a bag of feta. Kelli Bielema directs.
