FREE THEATER celebrating diversity: The Peoplehood present Jaisey Bates’ Real Time at The Open Fist Theater and Art/Works Mainstage, as part of the 2011 Hollywood Fringe Festival.
A unique combination of mini-plays, improvisation and spoken word, Real Time integrates several languages, audience participation and up to 15 actors portraying a range of characters including Frankenstein, an unborn child in 1873 South Africa, a Sarajevan cellist, American Civil War soldiers, a lost Zapotec girl, an extremely chipper TV set, Shakespeare-in-the-Hood, The Man in the Maze, and others.
