Paris Commune

Using a dynamic new theatrical form, Paris Commune tells the story of the 1871 Paris uprising, the first socialist revolution in Europe. Using text constructed from primary historical materials and songs from the period, Paris Commune manifests the rise and fall of the Commune’s turbulent attempt to transform society, using music and movement in the style of the 19th century cabaret.
