About This Show

Like an umbilical, a white I-Pod cord connects young, rebellious Jaime to her mother Sarah — herself a daughter of Seattle’s grunge music scene — in the world premiere of Christopher Shinn’s On the Mountain. When an insightful stranger with questionable motives enters Sarah’s well-ordered world, past lives and present reality skip a beat.

According to David Emmes, South Coast Repertory’s Producing Artistic Director, playwright Christopher Shinn “is an exciting new voice in contemporary theatre. What he has already written is remarkable and he’s still in his 20s! He has unlimited potential.”
