About This Show

Laughter on the 23rd Floor is the funny and poignant Neil Simon comedy dramatizing Simon’s time on Sid Caesar’s Your Show of Shows. It is an inside look at the comedy writers who made Sid Caesar a legend (Neil Simon, Mel Brooks, Larry Gelbart, Carl Reiner, Woody Allen, Paddy Chayefsky, and others). Set in 1953, the play follows the writing and fighting among a team of comedy writers for The Max Prince Show during the Golden Era of Television and the turbulent McCarthy era. Each writer is trying to write the best material and come to the attention of Max Prince, the head cheese himself. Side splittingly funny and tearfully touching, Simon’s take on his real life counterparts during one the most creative and turbulent times in the entertainment industry is a true modern classic.

There is one matinee performance on Sunday August 13th at 3 pm.
