Lady Macbeth Sings the Blues

Under the direction of Joel Silberman, Lady Macbeth Sings the Blues is a new musical about a modern woman in crisis who turns to the women of Shakespeare for answers and advice. This one-woman performance stars renowned actress and songwriter Amanda McBroom, best known for her hit song “The Rose” and for her musical play Heartbeats. With book by Amanda McBroom and Joel Silberman; lyrics by Amanda McBroom and music by Joel Silberman, and additional music by Amanda McBroom, Michele Brourman and Robben Ford, this piece features such characters as Katherine the Shrew, Ariel the Fairy, Gertrude the Queen, and Lady Macbeth offerring their opinions on life and love.
