About This Show

With a progressive perspective and provocative queries, Jules is a modern-day retelling of Romeo & Juliet. What would Juliet do if she knew Tybalt was going to kill Romeo? What if Romeo was Muslim and the Capulet’s were a family of military heroes? The action unfolds in Kansas City – not unlike Verona – where the politics of a nation have influenced a youthful generation that should be concerned with homecoming, homework, and first loves. Instead, Jules is forced to navigate around the great partitions between patriotism and freedom of speech, the left and the right, duty and honor, and between love and hate.

On Sunday, February 25 a 2:00pm show replaces the regularly scheduled 7:00pm performance.
