Johnny Mandel Songbook

A series of evenings at Tom Rolla’s Gardenia, produced by Les Traub, salute vocal artistry and honor the art and craft of songwriting. The series kicks off with the Johnny Mandel Songbook, starring Pinky Winters and Bob Florence. The evening is a release party for Pinky’s new CD, The Shadow of Your Smile on the Sinatra Society Presents label of Japan.

Johnny Mandel, who is expected to be in attendance, writes in the liner notes, “Many fine singers have recorded my songs, but none of them made me as happy as what you’re about to hear.”
