Imagine a romance so stirring, so sweeping that it swept you stirringly off your feet. Imagine a love between two men thrust into a political and religious atmosphere with an attraction they cannot deny. Passions are aflame in this story of Jesus, Judas, and his apostles in semi-modern Texas as they spread the word of god. That love, all love, is not only right, but necessary. For the entire run of Corpus Christi Thursday nights will be known as "Trevor Thursdays." This means 2 things! 1. Tickets will not be discounted, but half of all ticket sales will go to help THE TREVOR PROJECT, "the leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning youth." So instead of being happy about saving 18 bucks, you can be happy and proud to know that you are helping to support a future "where the possibilities, opportunities, and dreams are the same for all youth, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity." 2. The Garage Theatre will be holding a talk back after each Thursday night performance. The cast and crew will be available to take part in an open discussion regarding the themes of Corpus Christi by Terrence McNally.
