It’s 1952. Monty Pippin is trying to conform, but his memories, aided by healthy doses of the chemicals used in his dry cleaning business, are keeping secrets from him. As his darker passions threaten to break free, he turns to a hypnotherapist in hopes of accessing a time when love was new and sex was an innocent mystery. But the therapist’s involvement only leaves Monty more confused and groundless in a world about to crack under the weight of the approaching communist menace. Coming Out Clean is a new play by award-winning writer/director Andy Mitton.
