Birthday Girl

The Promenade Playhouse presents the Los Angeles premiere of Birthday Girl. This modern day solo show delivers a new twist on one of the oldest and most emotionally significant holidays known to womankind, the 30th birthday. Natalia Lazarus (Frida Kahlo in A Portrait of Pain, TV: Port Charles, When Seconds Count, Promised Land) creates a cast of 12 characters (including the haunting voice from her ever-blinking answering machine and a guest cameo from dancing Billy Elliot and his supporting cast), all unwitting contributors to a new “strength of spirit” for the birthday girl.

The opening week performances run from Thursday through Saturday at 8pm and Sunday at 7pm.
