About this show

In this original all-female production, Shakespeare's gender-bending tale of romance and rivalry explodes across the Wild West in an 1880 frontier town, where trigger-happy gunslingers, love-crazed cowboys, and bawdy saloon gals compete for love and land ravaged by territorial wars. Rosalind, a banished heiress, flees to the forest disguised as a man and encounters her true love without divulging her identity, opting instead to set upon an elaborate and adventurous path of self-discovery. The production features an original saloon band performing live bluegrass music. Lisa Wolpe directs.
