About This Show

Peter Shaffer’s play Amadeus shows audiences Mozart through the eyes of rival composer Antonio Salieri, overcome with jealousy at hearing “the voice of God” coming from an “obscene child.” Shaffer’s Tony Award-winning modern classic is a tale of genius, envy, and betrayal — set amid the lavish court of 18th Century Vienna. Amadeus is directed by LPT Associate Director Kerry Meads.
