A Distant Memory is Jennifer Field's one-woman autobiographical account of her recovery from a devastating car accident at 17. The great-great-granddaughter of Marshall Field, founder of the Marshall Field department store chain, Jennifer Field was a nationally recognized and award-winning competitive show jumper at the time of the accident. Her play takes the audience along on her journey to achieve physical independence. Ignoring her doctors' grim prognosis, aided by her mother, she combed the globe in search of treatments that would help her regain her life. Michael Laurie directs.
