4 at 40: Mothers’ Letters to Their Daughters will run for four performances only at Working Stage in Hollywood. 4 at 40 is an intimate portrait of one southern California family – from the first wagon train settler in the 1800s to a modern wannabe mother – as told through letters passed down from generation to generation. The play was commissioned by Dezart One Gallery in Palm Springs, a leading art and upcoming cultural center in the desert, and was performed in the open gallery space as a solo performance. Jack Lyons of the Desert Post Weekly calls the play "thoughtful and compelling" and Ryan’s performance "a tour de force".
