About This Show

Aging baby boomers now have a band whose music reflects their refusal to grow old gracefully. As pioneers of Senior Citizen Rock and Blue-Haired Blues, The Defibrillators poke good-natured fun at the foibles of aging in their contagious blues-based rock originals. Come join them for the official release of their third CD – Triple Bypass. Opening for The Defibrillators is Steve Robinson whose CD Back Roads has garnered rave reviews across Long Island media.

Having been labeled “The World’s Oldest Boy Band,” the Defibrillators show that they can kick it as energetically as (if not as high as) any of the young whippersnapper bands making the scene. Their high caliber of musicianship is offset only by their subtle theatrics during live performances; they have a rapidly growing regional fan base. The Defibrillators have been performing together for four years. They have repeatedly played at every major music festival on Long Island over the past three years, and have opened for such legendary acts as the Zombies, Leon Russell, and Suzie Tyrell of the E Street Band.

And all of the local press agrees: “The Defibrillators are as much an experience as they are a band. Their songs are solid and their execution is flawless. But it’s their presentation that takes this band over the edge into a realm of Long Island legends.” – Long Island Entertainment
