About This Show

Glen Phillips, as lead singer and main songwriter for Toad the Wet Sprocket was signed with the band to Columbia Records in 1988 at the ripe old age of 16. Over the course of six albums some of the singles enjoyed heavy radio play including "All I Want," "Walk on The Ocean" and "Fall Down." Soon after the release of their sixth album and a substantial amount of touring the group disbanded.

Phillips quickly started a solo career and released an album titles Abulum, establishing his new sound which was very different from the Toad sound. He also was presented with opportunities to collaborate with other artists, most notable Sara and Sean Watkins of Nickel Creek. In 2008 Phillips released his most recent work which was recorded with Neilson Hubbard and Garrison Starr under the band name Plover.
