About This Show

Millions already appreciate former Tonic frontman
Emerson Hart’s poignant lyrics, smart songcraft and evocative voice. Emerson Hart has been a familiar voice at modern rock radio for nearly a decade. Tonic’s first release, Lemon Parade quickly became a mainstream success – selling multi-platinum and scoring enormous radio
success with the hit songs, “Open Up Your Eyes” and “If You Could Only See” (penned solely by
Hart) which became radio’s most played Rock Song in 1997.

After years of building his reputation as a singer-songwriter in his own right, Jeffrey Gaines had a hit song with a cover version of “In Your Eyes” which promised to introduce a wider audience to the rest of Gaines’ work. In 2001, he continued to tour extensively as the opening act for Stevie Nicks on her North American tour, while performing his own dates in front of fans who were long acquainted with his outstanding live shows. “I just stand there happy as hell to be up there.”
