About This Show

A chain-smoking lapsed-Catholic psychiatrist is sent to a convent to determine if a novice – who may or may not have killed her newborn baby – is mentally fit for trial. But who is the father? Was it a virgin birth? A miracle? And what of the bloody stigmata that spontaneously appears on her hands? The psychiatrist clashes with the Mother Superior over the line between faith and science and finds there are no easy answers.

Vail-Leavitt Theatre Company presents an encore presentation of their hit production, Agnes of God, by John Pielmeier. Directed by Serena Seacat.
