About the Show
Created by Redmoon Artistic Director Jim Lasko, with original music by The Bitter Tears, The Princess Club is a wildly physical and thought-provoking romp through the classic tales of Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, and Rapunzel. An abandoned warehouse is filled with locked crates that unfold to reveal the tools necessary for several "princesses" to explore beauty, the grotesque, power, and much more. This unique new work examines the representation of women in fairy tales through a modern pop culture lens using inventive set pieces, elaborate costumes, puppetry, and innovative Redmoon objects.
