About This Show
Back for a third year, The Catch promises to be as exciting and memorable as ever. Celebrating all that is original in children’s theatre, music, dance and multimedia performance, there is something on offer for everybody at the Lyric this season that is bound to dazzle and delight.
This year shows are brought together from Australia, Italy, Belgium and France along with the best work from around the UK. This is a magical trip into the wealth of exciting, extraordinary shows currently being made for children and families from around the world.

Shhh
Saturday 5, Friday 18 and Saturday 19 April
This new show for the under 3’s combines puppetry, music and theatre to create a magical exploration of the chaotic world of bedtime.
The Blue Grassy Knoll
Friday 18 – Sunday 20 April
As a very special Easter treat, Australia’s celebrated bluegrass band The Blue Grassy Knoll, perform at the Lyric in a whirlwind of bluegrass, gypsy, hillbilly and swing music to the films of Buster Keaton!
The Ugly Duckling
Tuesday 22 – Saturday 26 April
This much-loved fairytale is updated for the new millennium using multimedia mixed with live performance.
