New York City
With bodies leaping, flying, and twirling across eye-popping, surrealistic sets, Diavolo pushes the boundaries of dance and theater. Under the artistic direction of Jacques Heim (the acclaimed choreographer of Cirque du Soleil’s long-running Ka), the interdisciplinary collaborative of dancers, gymnasts, and actors presents crowd-pleasing and occasionally high-risk performances exploring the human condition. The audience also gets a behind-the-scenes look at the company’s creative process, which is built on trust, teamwork, and individual expression.
Program: Foreign Bodies, Humachina, Knockturne, D2RA, and Trajectoire.
