About This Show

Karana, a young Native American woman separated from her tribe, is trapped on the Island of the Blue Dolphins. Alone, she must use all her courage and skills to survive against hunters, wild dogs and nature. Based on the Newberry award-winning novel by Scott O’Dell, Island of the Blue Dolphins is a testimony to both the beauty and dangers of the natural world. This fine production by Burgess Clark is presented by Louisville’s Family Theatre, Stage One and includes original music and traditional Native American storytelling and dance.
