36th Humana Festival Gallery Exhibition

About This Show

Three exhibits will run concurrently during the 36th Humana Festival of New American Plays. Exhibits will be displayed in Actors Theatre’s Sara Shallenberger Brown, Mezzanine, and Victor Jory Lobbies.

Costumes: Inside Out will showcase the work that goes into designing and creating costumes for the Humana Festival. This exhibit examines the arc of that process: designing and making costumes for the eight productions in the Humana Festival of New American Plays. Located in the Sara Shallenberger Brown and Mezzanine Lobbies.

Humana Festival Student Artwork: This year, illustrator and cartoonist Jillian Tamaki continued the tradition Tomer Hanuka started with the students at the School of Visual Arts. Students were asked to design posters that focus on visually expressing the idea of the writer’s imagination at work. The images shown here are the result of this exercise. Located in the Mezzanine Lobby.

Anthropocenia…ass:This latest exhibition of Matt Weir’s work will include two award-winning sculptures in addition to three new works, one of which Matt has been pushing toward production for over six years. This exhibition will explore not only Weir’s versatility of media, which will include marble, plaster, cast aluminum, bronze, wood, digital photography and chrome, but it will also highlight his diverse artistic style. Located in the Victor Jory Lobby.
