About This Show

Join the ensemble of Ives Fest for an evening of 4 one-act plays by native Chicago playwright, David Ives. The evening includes performances of The Philadelphia, Variations on the Death of Trotsky, Sure Thing, and Speed-the-Play, an abridged compilation of 4 works by Chicago playwright David Mamet (in ten minutes). This is the fast paced fun filled night of shows The New York Times calls, “Utterly delightful one-act plays that percolate with comic brio…” all set to the timing of one well-known David Ives’ prop: DING!
