About the Show

Harriet is the willful only child of well-to-do socialites – and a spy who observes friends and neighbors and writes about them in her notebook. Harriet’s loving nurse, Ole Golly, artfully teaches her about life, but announces she plans to marry and move to Canada. Soon after, Harriet’s notebook is found and her blunt and mean observations cause her friends and classmates to dislike her. Distressed and spiraling out of control, Harriet is visited by Ole Golly, who shares a tip: “Sometimes you have to lie. But to yourself you must always tell the truth.” (Drama, Rated G)
