About This Show

This evening of ‘faux pas de deux’ first features Tops or Bottoms, which follows a late 40’s ’empty nest’ couple who are awaiting a doctor’s return call to confirm whether or not they are pregnant – though neither can remember the last time they had sex. This comedy with serious undertones is about the ‘third rail’ of American marriages – passion. Then, Persistence of Vision is presented. Set in a hospital emergency room, the play examines a thirty-something man suffering from chest pains, and the young female resident assigned to ‘take his chart.’ Not all is what meets the eye in this 30-minute drama, which challenges the medical convention to always ‘hold the middle ground’ and remain dispassionate.
