The Cherry Orchard

In 1904, an aristrocaratic Russian family retunrs to its beautiful country estate and to a nation on the brink of momentous change and social upheaval. Madame Ranevskaya, disillusioned with the changing times and haunted by her past, finds her estate in financial ruin with her beloved cherry orchard doomed by an impending auction. Checkhov’s The Cherry Orchard marks the end of The Hypocrites’ 2000 season.
