MooNiE the Magnif’Cent

A frequent actor with the Illinois Shakespeare Festival since 1988 Philip Earl Johnson is also known as MooNiE the Magnif’Cent at Renaissance faires around the country. His hilarious one-man show is a combination of amazing feats of ropewalking, juggling, and silent comedy that is perfect entertainment for any family.

Later in the evening, MooNiE joins forces with his comic partner Broon and these two vaudevillians present a comedy-variety experience aimed to create a blend of spontaneous and outrageous comedy with feats of physical and mental manipulation of objects, audience, and energy. The laughter comes fast and is wrapped around a framework of juggling, fire-eating, clowning, music, and crazy stunts. All underscored by the possibility that something new and unplanned could happen at any time.
