Eric Appleton has created a new re-working of Euripides’ Iphigenia Among the Taurians. It is now set in the early 1950’s. The story takes place in a dinner off of Route 66 in Kingman, Arizona. Years earlier, Agamemnon sacrificed his daughter Iphigenia in return for rains that would end the drought. Unbeknownst to her family, she escaped death and fled from the Oklahoma panhandle to this diner at the edge of the world.
