The Goodman Theatre presents the world premiere of Drowning Crow, Regina Taylor’s adaptation of Chekhov’s The Seagull. At an African American family gathering in contemporary South Carolina, a young performance artist arranges a viewing of his work for his mother, an accomplished but aging actress, and her lover, a celebrated writer. His mother’s mocking comments about his work send the young writer spinning off in a rage, leaving his girlfriend under the spell of the celebrated writer.
