About This Show

A. D. Players presents O Little Town of Bagels, Teacakes, and Hamburger Buns, by Jeannette Clift George. Lee Walker directs.

The setting–a train station café, Christmas Eve. The players–a random variety of late-working employees and a handful of visitors. The theme–NOTHING is as it seems!

Every traveler’s destination for Christmas Eve is “home”…that is, for those who have a home, or someone to go home to. This Christmas Eve seems like any other in small-town Palestine, Texas. But something very different is about to happen tonight. Among the few overtime workers and a handful of visitors, each occupant of this café is about to discover they are a traveler on a very unique journey…their own. When a small-town hotel café plans to serve up a warm Christmas Eve for a handful of travelers who couldn’t made it home for the holidays, the café becomes the unlikely junction where many lives cross, touch each other for a night, and a lifetime.

A special New Year’s Eve celebration begins with an elegant dinner at the Brownstone at 6pm, followed by the final performance of O Little Town of Bagels, Teacakes, and Hamburger Buns at 8pm. A message from Jeannette Clift George and special performances by the A. D. Players complete the festive evening.
