About This Show

In the tradition of Wit, How I Learned to Drive, The Young Man from Atlanta, and Angels in America, the Alley is pleased to produce the winner of the 2000 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, Dinner with Friends by Donald Margulies. Two 40-something couples and long-time friends who expect “to grow old and fat together, the four of us,” are jolted by the news that one couple plans to divorce. Primarily taking place over a succession of meals, this drama follows the couples from pre-divorce bliss to post-divorce crisis.
