A Moon for the Misbegotten

Alliance Theatre Company Artistic Director Kenny Leon, now in his last season at the theater, stages Eugene O’Neill’s masterpiece, A Moon for the Misbegotten. Three misfits, each seeking the impossible, come together for a fateful encounter one moonlit night on the steps of a dilapidated farmhouse. The father hopes to gain ownership of the farm by setting up a tryst between his daughter, Josie, and James, the owner of the farm. Josie hopes it will be a night of love, while the dissolute James seeks forgiveness and redemption for the guilt that haunts him. Their desperate dreams are at stake in this searing story by one of America’s greatest playwrights.
