Sixteen-year-old Rachel Stein is having a bad year. Her father won’t change out of his pajamas. Her born-again mother’s so devoted to Jesus that He’s moved in with the family. Her new neighbor, a sixteen-year-old with an Elvis fixation, who is studying for his bar mitzvah, has fallen for her. And the Apocalypse is coming on Wednesday. Her only hope is that Stephen Hawking will save the day.
